High-Key Details

Earlier in the week, Jazzy raised eyebrows after sharing his health condition across social media. He hopped on Instagram Monday to encourage people to stay at home and revealed he was dealing with pneumonia.

The producer told fans on Instagram to take the virus seriously – although he did not say if he was tested for COVID-19 – after revealing that he lost his sense of smell and taste, one of the symptoms of the respiratory illness. “Pls say a prayer for all the sick… it’s a lot more than you know!!” Jazzy Jeff wrote. “I’m recovering from pneumonia in both my lungs… I lost my sense of smell and taste which is a main sign of the virus. I would NOT be here if not for my guardian angel of a wife!” (Hip Hop Wired)

Wait, There’s More

In early March, Jazzy revealed he might have had a condition. Jeff joked about feeling uncomfortable coughing around other people.

Before You Go

In 2019, Jazzy sparked headlines after a much-needed Will Smith reunion show went down. The hip-hop duo teamed up for a few live concerts around the world.

The Grammy-winning artist reunited with Will Smith for a DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince performance in Budapest last year during the premiere of Smith’s movie, “Gemini Man.” The two have played a handful of shows together over the past few years. Will Smith has been doing his best to entertain us during the coronavirus quarantine, sharing silly videos about nightmares and dropping a Philly-themed, lo-fi study beats track to help you power through the tedium. (Philly Voice)
