Florida rapper Kodak Black is coming clean and taking responsibility. The jailed rap artist has publicly apologized to Hollywood actress Lauren London and the memory of her late boyfriend Nipsey Hussle a year after making now-infamous comments about wanting to date her.

Kodak x Apology

On Monday, Black went to his Instagram page with a must-read open message. Kodak remembered the life and legacy of Hussle and apologized to him for coming for London shortly after his murder.

“Willin To Accept When I’m Wrong & Stand Firm When I’m Right. The Whole World Know Your Example Was A Guiding Light. I Pray Your Fam Light & Accept This Humble Apology In My Kite. You Remind Me Of Icecube, Bunchy Carter & Huey P. A Hustler & Owner The Second Coming Of Easy E. What Happened To You Could’ve Happened To Me! Im a Young Philanthropist Like You. Even Tho We From Two Different Worlds, I Saw Your Vision But I Notice That My Words Are Often Misinterpreted. High-Key Details

In April 2019, rap star T.I. cut ties with Kodak Black. The King of the South scrubbed KB’s presence from his Trap Music Museum in Atlanta.

T.I. and Lauren go way back … they starred together in the 2006 movie “ATL.” Lauren played Tip’s love interest in the film. T.I. opened the museum back in September, and it shines a light on Atlanta’s music culture and the artists who helped shape trap music into its own sub-genre, including artists like 21 Savage, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Shawty Lo and Future. Wait, There’s More

Initially, Black came forward with an apology to both Nipsey and Lauren. However, he did take aim at anyone trying to clown him or check him over his initial remarks.

“If I disrespected you, Lauren London, in any shape or form, I’m sorry. Even though I didn’t. And rest in peace to dude. Y’all already know what I said. I said dude encouraged me to do sh*t for the community. But anyhow, my bad to them two. But for all you other people trying to fake-act like y’all are lil’ boying me on the Internet, or checking me on the Internet, that’s how you feel, bro. That’s how y’all wanna feel and I got a whole tour. I’m in Georgia right now. Tomorrow I’ll be in Norfolk, Virginia. Wherever y’all see me at, if that’s how y’all feel, that’s how y’all feel. Don’t try to lil’ boy me on the Internet.”

Before You Go

Last year, cringe footage surfaced of Kodak saying he would wait for Lauren to recover from the loss of Hussle. Black also said he would try to use friendship to ultimately build a connection with LL.
