Lil Baby makes it clear that if you want a verse from him, you’re going to have to pony up some serious dough.

Seemingly overnight (though in reality, it occurred through a healthy mix of skill, dedication, and work ethic), Lil Baby became one of the biggest stars in hip-hop, by a wide margin. Consistently sitting atop the charts whenever he decides to drop new material, his record speaks for itself. His recent album My Turn continues to remain a commercial juggernaut on the Billboard 200, and his powerful reflection on “The Bigger Picture” already has fans muttering about song of the year contention. Suffice it to say, Lil Baby’s popularity is staggering, a fact that’s certainly not lost on him.

Today, the Atlanta rapper took to Twitter to reflect on his bossed-up status, declaring that anybody looking to collaborate with him would have to pony up a respectable $100k. “At this point it’s safe to say I want 100k for a feature,” he declares, prompting some to suggest he’s selling himself short. Clearly, Baby has been grappling with the whole “feature” thing for a minute now, as back in May he decided he’d be taking a break from recording guest appearances — unless, of course, he deemed it to be “worth it.”

In light of his recent Tweet, it would appear that Lil Baby has officially found a price that he feels comfortable with. Whether or not he actually goes through with it is another story, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see him becoming more selective as time goes on. Of course, it’s unclear as to whether or not he’ll be providing discounted rates to his closest collaborators. Still, it makes sense for Lil Baby to buckle down for his coming run — especially if he continues to rise at the rate he’s been rising so far.
