High-Key Details
Tip has kept fans waiting for new music. A couple years ago, Q hinted at plans to drop The Last Zulu across his Twitter page.
The projects titled AlGoRhythms, Riotdiaries, and The Last Zulu will mark the first set of solo records from Q-Tip since he delivered Kamaal The Abstract in 2001. The rapper has been teasing The Last Zulu for several years now. Back in 2018 fans we were lead to believe that The Last Zulu and Riotdiaries were one and the same project, but it appears that they are two separate albums. (Highsnobiety)

Wait, There’s More
Nearly 10 years ago, Q officially joined forces with longtime pal Kanye West. Initial plans had his The Las Zulu dropping on G.O.O.D. Music.
In 2012, Q-Tip signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam to release The Last Zulu, an album he first made mention of working on as early as 2010. Following his work on A Tribe Called Quest’s final album, 2016’s We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service, he made mention of the album again on Twitter in 2018, writing, “The last Zulu aka the riot diary #ComingSoon.” (Exclaim)
Before You Go
A few days ago, Tip shared some legendary-looking footage. Q released a clip of rap rookie YBN Cordae flexing big bars over throwback 90’s beats.
