Music mogul JAY-Z can’t help but win in everything he does. The hip-hop superstar’s popular TIDAL streaming service is set to secure rap icon Dr. Dre‘s The Chronic album on its platform ahead of a global 4/20 premiere.

According to TIDAL, the plan is for the Doc’s legendary LP to arrive on April 19. The hip-hop classic will premiere on JAY’s digital giant at least a day ahead of its competition.
4/20 is starting early on TIDAL with the platform’s advance release of Dr. Dre’s iconic debut album, The Chronic. On Sunday, April 19th the global music and entertainment streaming platform will introduce Dr. Dre’s legendary 1992 album in the highest audio quality available. Beginning on Sunday at 12am ET, fans can stream The Chronic at TIDAL.com/DrDre. In this monumental drop, TIDAL will share some of the most revered bars and beats in hip-hop history in master quality audio (MQA). A few days ago, record label eOne announced a wait for Chronic to hit every streaming platform would soon end. Plans had the LP set to premiere everywhere on national smoke day, April 20.

The Chronic was released 28 years ago, in December 1992, on Death Row Records and is widely considered by both critics and fans to be one of the greatest albums of all time.
