Rap veteran French Montana isn’t here for beefing. During a recent interview, the Bad Boy Records star spoke about going to Instagram Live soon with rap rival 50 Cent to squash their differences.

The French Connection

During a Q&A, French Montana said 50 Cent will join him on the next “Cocaine City Live” he hosts. Montana promised the event would go down in the next week or two.

“50 Cent gonna be on the next ‘Cocaine City Live.’ It’s happening in about a week or two. This the first time the world knows. He gonna be on ‘Cocaine City Live’ and I know he gonna watch this. French Montana, 50 Cent face to face. We gonna talk. Talk about, you know, what the people wanna see. Break the internet again. I feel like with me and Fifty, [the beef] was like when you go watch a f*cking wrestling match, or a boxing match, it’s competition. He said what he said, I said what I said. Nobody got killed. Nobody got shot. That’s the most important thing.” -French Montana via Instagram

Diplomatic Immunity

Earlier this week, French went on Live with fellow New York rapper Jim Jones to finally squash their beef. Having lasted for almost two decades, the pair of New York rap artists went online this week to talk and reconcile.

“15 YEARS OF BEEFING ENDED UP WITH LAUGHS AND WAR STORIES BIG MOMENT FOR HIP HOP SHOUT OUT TO @jimjonescapo #thatsafact ALL THE BLOGS THAT COVERED ALL THE BULLSHIT MAKE SURE YALL PUT THE SAME ENERGY TO MAKING PEACE ?” – French Montana’s Instagram

“I remember you trying to sneak inside MTV Awards, and me and Juelz [Santana] were in a Phantom. I don’t know if you remember that but you threw your middle finger up at me and I said ‘I should get out right know and whoop your f**king a** out you little dumb n***a,’ you was by yourself. Me and Juelz was in a Phantom and we had mad n***as behind and I left that s**t alone, Juelz said ‘leave that n***a alone, why you always bothering him man,’ and I said said ‘alright Juelz, man.’ He was like ‘stop, man.’” – Jim Jones

French Montana and Jim Jones got on Instagram Live to squash their 15 year beef

Wait, There’s More

The pair also encouraged younger rappers not to follow in their ways of feuding. They both encouraged the youth to put love over hate.

“If there’s anybody out there watching from the young n***as, man, learn from this, Don’t waste 15 years in the game when y’all could have been getting all kinds of bags together.” – French Montana

“There’s a lot of foolish beefs and foolish shootings and there’s a lot going on right now with everybody cooped up in the house.” – Jim Jones

Before You Go

While French has been online a lot during the COVID-19 pandemic, he hasn’t slowed down – at all. The hip-hop heavyweight has released his self-directed new “Salam Alaykum” music video. On Monday, he came through with the unexpected visual gem for the track.
