New York rapper 50 Cent is losing his mind right now. The hip-hop veteran went online this week to share his support over a mind-blowing “WAP” single cover from Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion.
50 Cent Loves WAP
Heading into the week, Curtis Jackson went to his Instagram page with a major shout-out. Instead of focusing his attention on the single’s music video, 50 applauded Cardi and Meg on delivering the “sexiest” cover he’s ever seen.
“And ?WAP right up side a b*tch head, ? This gotta be the sexiest single cover ever ??♂️WTF @iamcardib @theestallion ? Tick Tick BOOM ?” -50 Cent’s Instagram
High-Key Details
Last week, Netflix’s Tiger King star Carole Baskin shared her displeasure in the visual. Instead of taking aim at the lyrics, Carole said the portrayal and usage of tigers upset her the most.
Carole Baskin is picking a catfight with Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion over their new music video, which she says sends a terrible message and is harmful to the future of big cats. Carole tells TMZ … the worst part of Cardi B’s new music video is the way it glamorizes rich folk keeping tigers as pets, and she thinks it makes “every ignorant follower want to imitate by doing the same.” (TMZ)
Wait, There’s More
Heading into this past weekend, Republican congressman James P. Bradley went to his Twitter pages to go off-off on the new “WAP” record. He took personal offense at the song’s steamy content and didn’t hold back on dissing both Cardi B and her collaborator Megan Thee Stallion.
“Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion are what happens when children are raised without God and without a strong father figure. Their new “song” The #WAP (which i heard accidentally) made me want to pour holy water in my ears and I feel sorry for future girls if this is their role model! … Secondly, while I personally take offense to the lyrics and messaging of this song, I absolutely respect her 1st Amendment right to make it. Also surprised that twitter doesn’t mind this kind of free speech but has a problem with conservative free speech.” -James P. Bradley’s Twitter
And to make things more cringe, Bradley also took a swipe at the “types” of people not wanting public schools to open during the global coronavirus pandemic.
“Is it a coincidence that it’s the stupidest people who don’t want schools to reopen?” -James P. Bradley
Before You Go
It didn’t take long before both Cardi’s Bardi Gang and Meg’s Hot Girls clapped back in their defense. People lit up Bradley with non-stop digital smoke and checked him for the hating tweets.
