Rap star A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is appointing himself more than your favorite Big Apple rapper. This past weekend, he went to social media to crown himself the King of New York and said he would have shared the title with late rapper Pop Smoke.

A Boogie x Pop Smoke

Heading into Monday, A Boogie took to Instagram to let followers know if Pop Smoke was still alive he’d also have the crown. Boogs also used the opportunity to plug Smoke’s new Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon deluxe album.

High-Key Details

A deluxe version of Pop’s posthumous album Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon dropped on Monday. The must-hear release features 15 new tracks.

The new deluxe edition features the song “Paranoia;” it features Gunna and Young Thug, but not Pusha-T. The track sparked a feud between Pusha-T and Young Thug over an alleged Drake diss from Pusha on a previous version of the song. Other contributors include Burna Boy, Jamie Foxx, Fivio Foreign, Davido, PnB Rock, Queen Naija, BloodPop, and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie. (Pitchfork)

Wait, There’s More

Fans of the late rapper had a chance to keep his legacy going even further through some serious fashion drip. Pop’s longtime friend and mentor Steven Victor went online last week to announce the launch of a new clothing collaboration.
