Taking to Instagram in the recent past, rapper French Montana announced an upcoming tour titled the Gotta See It To Believe It Tour with Fivio Foreign and Fabolous, who will be kicking the first leg off as early as August 1, 2024.
To set things in motion, the trio has come together on a high energy, high intensity track called, ‘To the Moon’, which is out now for your streaming pleasure.
The track boasts sub-bass heavy 808 hits for kicks, splashing snares and rolling trap hi-hats on the production front, all while an atmospheric, almost chorus-y and heavily processed sample covers lightly covers the chord progressions. In terms of lyrical content, the rappers talk about taking things to the moon and to be fair, the energy is certainly there.
While the lyrics don’t particularly stand out as intricately impressive (mostly glazing over themes of money, women and sex), the track certainly is designed to be a concert anthem with great call-and-response value for fans to yell the chorus back and forth with the performers.
For the artwork, the rappers have chosen to go with an older, rip collage and gangsta aesthetic, and playing with a color palette of red, green and white as they tote guns and shades. This grunge aesthetic works really well for the song, and seems minimalistic enough to represent the simple, energetic sonics of the track. Check the song out below!
