Late New York rapper Pop Smoke‘s long-awaited posthumous album isn’t coming out this Friday. Universal Music Group executive Steven Victor has updated fans on the project’s delay.

Steven went online this week to deliver the crushing news that Pop Smoke’s album will be delayed. Victor detailed how much of a major impact Smoke’s music has had on the world.

Victor ultimately noted the global Black Lives Matter movement as a key reason for pushing the project back. While it won’t drop for weeks, Steven did promise to put out new Pop Smoke music this week.
