Grammy-winning singer Rihanna isn’t here for a quick buck with her Fenty x Skin on the verge of releasing globally. Instead, the Barbados beauty has come forward to dish on the importance of putting out a skincare product line without a massive price tag and works for everyone no matter their skin type.

Rihanna’s Fenty Skin Works

This week, RiRi went viral courtesy of a new Fenty Skin video dishing on the product’s birth. She credited its creation on her determination to put together a skincare product to help out her own complex facial issues.

“‘I wanted to make [products] that are better than anything I have every used and everything I have ever encountered and everything that is on the market that has confused me. … So, in developing these products I really wanted to make sure that it felt comfortable, that they were effective, credible for people who really know skincare, but also I wanted a product that worked more than anything.”

Rihanna’s Fenty Skin works and RiRi’s determined to prove it.

High-Key Details

Leading up to its launch this week, RiRi has recruited some major hip-hop stars to collaborate with Fenty Skin. Rap heavyweights A$AP Rocky and Lil Nas X both appear in campaigns plugging the new line.

Before You Go

Rihanna’s massive rollout ignited the Internet around mid-July. Small buzz immediately turned viral once news went public about the Fenty Skin product line.

Fenty Skin is positioning itself as the “the new culture of skincare,” according to a splash page on FentyBeauty.com. The brand officially launches exclusively on FentySkin.com on July 31, although those who sign up to receive its emails can gain early access on July 29. (Its makeup counterpart debuted first with Sephora.) Fenty Beauty has remained mum about the new launch, save for strategic teasers in marketing channels: Its first post through a new Fenty Skin Instagram account, appeared on July 14, while a new campaign video sent via email reached fans on July 18. According to the brand’s video content, the initial products will be a cleanser, a toner and a face moisturizer. Fenty did not respond to requests for comment. (Glossy)
