Atlanta rapper T.I. is not having it. The King of the South has come forward to speak big facts about his frustrations toward the prisons system over its lack of humanity toward inmates during the coronavirus spread.

T.I. Delivers Must-Read PSA

Tip relied on the power of Instagram to make his voice heard. The Georgia native issued an emotional statement sharing his disgust.

“#Covid19 is lingering in the prisons. Inmates did not bring the covid19 on themselves, it’s being brought in by others coming in, NOT from visitors because visitation had been shut down. INMATES need to be protected with masks, hand sanitizers, and gloves, and antibody tests, and the prisons should protect and provide necessities for the inmates. Antibody test helps determine if someone is immune to coronavirus or had it previously, then inmates can be separated properly.  They don’t deserve being infected by staff.” -T.I.’s Instagram

The King’s Speech

Tip didn’t end things there. The Grammy-winning rapper also explained how the prison system is much different than how citizens are treating COVID-19 precautions from their homes.

“Social distancing doesn’t exist in prison, so many of the federal penitentiaries #BOP have been on total lockdown for two weeks “We are on total lockdown for 14days .. no showers, no computers, no phone, no leaving the cell period. Many inmates have the covid19 but have not been tested.. check the local news or online” THIS SHIT IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR ANY HUMAN BEING,Let alone OUR PEOPLE‼️ Salute to da legend @e40for putting this information out there.” -T.I.’s Instagram

Wait, There’s More

West Coast rap legend E-40 also used his voice to speak out. 40 unleashed pure anger toward the prison system for its insensitive care toward inmates.
