J. Cole’s “Snow In Tha Bluffs” was hardly met with praise.
J. Cole has been under fire all morning after releasing his new track, “Snow In Tha Bluff.” Fans immediately took notice that Jermaine Cole was likely responding to Noname’s criticism that he was largely silent since the protests began. The criticism came in form of a tweet. Cole gave her a whole track. And then proceeded to dig a deeper hole for himself as he responds to the backlash.

Chance The Rapper is the latest to chime into the conversation. Though he has relationships with both Noname and J. Cole, he made it abundantly clear that he sided with Noname on the matter. “Yet another L for men masking patriarchy and gaslighting as contructive criticism,” he wrote on Twitter.
Chance was somehow met with criticism from Cole fans who seemingly thought he was going a little too hard on the Dreamville head honcho.
“They both my peoples but only one of them put out a whole song talking about how the other needs to reconsider their tone and attitude in order to save the world. It’s not constructive and undermines all the work Noname has done. It’s not BWs job to spoon feed us. We grown,” Chance responded.
Despite the apparent riff between Cole and Noname, Chance still played it out as diplomatically as possible. “Everybody’s argument on either side is, we can’t personally attack each other if we really want to see a revolution. I can agree with that and can apply it in my own life. I wish we could learn that w/o two artists I admire having a public dispute,” he added.
