It’s hard to imagine the last two decades of hip-hop without the influence of music legend Drummaboy.
The Grammy award-winning producer, most recently topping the billboard charts with his own independently released singles, has a career spanning longer than the lives of some present-day rappers.
His influence is without a doubt undebatable and his anthems have served as soundtracks to a hustler’s ambition and a woman’s need to let loose and shake something, (After all as Drake told us, “That’s what Drumma produced it for.”).
Jumpcut to today and the producer is a walking hip-hop encyclopedia, effortlessly preserving a diverse understanding of songwriting, hitmaking and in-depth artist development. For the first time, Hip hop fans and artists alike will get to witness the producer’s genius and participate in the creative process firsthand through a new collaborative album project with recording artist Devin White.
The forthcoming disc, titled “Soundcheck” will be licensed to White’s new music aggregator of the same name and aspires to design equity between established industries and unfamiliar voices. White’s involvement amplifies a blossoming niche within the music industry that engages newcomers and their abilities to enterprise their own careers.
Through dynamic partnerships, such as his well-documented relationship with Rel Carter (Roc Nation music executive and nephew of rap icon JayZ) and high-level musical collaborations with Ne-Yo and Hip Hop Weekly Magazine to name a few, White has managed to design a substantive industry network that offers authentic and legitimate benefits.
“Soundcheck” will be assisted musically by White’s long-time collaborator Rel Carter and launch into a nationwide studio tour in search of fresh collaborators at the beginning of 2023.
Drummaboy’s participation aligns the disc with all things legendary and creates the perfect canvas for newcomers and industry juggernauts alike to amplify themselves in an unprecedented fashion.
The interactive album project has yet to announce an official release date but White has hinted at the first quarter of next year via his official Instagram.
