Chicago’s King Von has lost a little bit of respect for Nicki Minaj.
The rapper took to Twitter moments after Nicki’s latest collaboration with 6ix9ine hit the internet in “TROLLZ” to voice his displeasure with Minaj and her choice of working with the rainbow-haired rapper.
“Damn and I use to love Nicki Minaj,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet.
He followed up with, “I know so many mfs that a do anything to make it. Go against every moral break everycode. Trade on every friend jus for a taste of the fast life. Desperate easily moved ass people. Den get the shit and it don’t even be worth all the lost and pain a mf went threw. U chasing dat shit. ”
Von’s comments join a wide-range of artists and fans who’ve been heavily critical of the latest 6ix9ine/Black Barbie collaboration. Minaj has come under fire for her association with 6ix9ine given his criminal record as a sex offender and as a federal informant. Additionally, fans have joked about the two urging fans to create TikTok videos to boost the song to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Minaj defended 6ix9ine on Friday, saying the “GOOBA” rapper had every right to “snitch.”
“I feel street niggas have every right to feel how they want to feel about snitching because they live that life,” she said. “I feel rappers need to play it easy because everybody mingles and integrates with everybody, and if a top executive rat calls one of y’all unsigned rappers right now, y’all signing … Let’s be clear when we talk about rappers versus street niggas.
“You know, I’m not on the block with 6ix9ine. Me and 6ix9ine is not on the block. We’re in the music business. You rappers is in rooms all the time with people with sketchy pasts, and I’m not judging anybody ‘ cause I’m not doing that. I have nothing but respect for so many of these people, and I would never fix my face to talk crazy about them.”
