One day, hip-hop mogul Diddy was being praised for playing it safe and canceling his annual New Year’s Eve party due to COVID-19 precautions. The next day, Diddy’s facing criticism for throwing a birthday bash in Miami for his son, Justin Combs.

Diddy’s Party Questionable During COVID

Diddy put on the Miami party to celebrate his son Justin’s 27th birthday, despite announcing the previous day that he wasn’t throwing a NYE party to be safe. That’s coming not too long after Diddy flew out to a private island in November for a days-long party in honor of his own 51st birthday.

Diddy Does Good Deeds In Miami

While he was in Miami, however, Diddy was doing good work in the community. The Bad Boy Records CEO and frequent Forbes list crown holder gave back in a major way in Florida helping out lots of local Miami residents.

“@Diddy visited Overtown this evening. He stopped by the gift card giveaway event he helped put together to support families who need it this year. @wsvn”

Diddy Spoils His Mom On Her Birthday

Diddy is a family man and always down to spread the wealth. For his mother’s birthday, Puff Daddy hooked her up with some insane presents and a ton of financial security. For Janice Combs‘ 80th birthday, she was gifted $1 million dollars and a new Bentley from her son. Puff also went online with a heartfelt message for the Combs family matriarch, letting his Instagram followers know how much he loves her. There was also a party hosted for her, and it has drawn some controversy for being maskless.

“I only exist because of this beautiful, hardworking, loving, hilarious, ass-whooping, always telling me the truth, genuine, smart, fly absolutely amazing Black Goddess Queen!! Happy 80th Birthday to the best mother in the world! Love you forever and ever! ❤️ … and this is actually her at 80 … no filter … no edit ?!!!”

Dr. Dre + Diddy Could Battle It Out On Verzuz

A few weeks ago, Diddy asked his Twitter followers for suggestions on a Verzuz battle opponent. One of the names mentioned a lot was hip-hop icon Dr. Dre. Now the showdown we never experienced during the Bad Boy vs. Death Row era may actually happen. Verzuz co-creators Timbaland and Swizz Beatz were recently on “TMZ Live” and were asked about a possible Verzuz between Diddy and The Doctor. Swizz essentially said that if Jeezy and Gucci Mane made it happen, anything is possible.

In a recent TMZ interview, Tim and Swizz expressed their wishes to put together a Dr. Dre and Diddy Verzuz — a battle they deem more likely to occur than a matchup between JAY-Z and Diddy. Though they believe there is a “slim chance” of the Bad Boy star and Hov facing off in a Verzuz, they shared that a competition between the “Last Night” rapper and the Compton native is “something different.” “I can’t even say what’s not gonna happen anymore,” Swizz said. “We just let the universe naturally make things happen. I’m not gonna say no, I’m never going to say no anymore!” (REVOLT TV)
