ODB’s Widow Sues Wu-Tang Clan

Icelene Jones claims that ODB and the other members of the Wu-Tang Clan signed a contract with the music production company in 1992. The contract gave royalties to members with half of all the music they put out.

The widow claims that the agreement also obligated the production company to pay ODB no less than 50% of net royalties alleging that the late rapper’s estate is owed. Icelene is also having difficulties conducting a proper audit of the company.

Though ODB died back in 2004, Jones insists that the contract still requires the company to continue paying ODB’s estate.

The last payment received by ODB’s estate was in July 2021 for $130,000. Jones, who has yet to receive a proper audit of the production company since 2011, believes at least $1 million is still owed.
