On the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast with Gillie Da King and Wallo267, Young Thug chose Lil Wayne as the best Verzuz opponent for him. The hip-hop superstar cited the influence he and Weezy have had in addition to their rap track records.
“It would probably have to be like [Lil Wayne]. Because you got to think—we got to talk about influence. We got to talk about everything. We got to talk about everything. It’s not just about no rap.”

Thug also told the story of when he first met Wayne and the fellow hip-hop superstar dissed him.
