Today we had an exclusive chance to interview A B:

What is your stage name and how did you come up with it?
A B, I needed a unique name so I choose A B as it’s my blood type.

Where are you from?
I’m from the palm trees and Mediterranean Sea from a country called Libya.

Where are you now?
I have lived most of my life in the UK and currently reside in Glasgow Scotland.

Why did you first start making music?
I started writing poetry in school and handed them to girls I like. I suffered from Childhood-Onset Fluency Disorder which made it hard to speak to the girl you like.

Who would you say inspired you the most, as an artist?
I believe meeting 50 cent in Glasgow was the first and unforgettable experience that has led me to work in the music industry.

Talk me through your creative process.
I’m currently working with Up2stndrd studios and spend most of my time at the studio recording. I’m the type of artist that writes the best music depending on past experience, feelings , relationships I genuinely write about me about my life.

What’s the coolest, most important show you’ve played to date?
Opening up for Tory lanez in Manchester it was by far the biggest stage I have performed on and it was in front of 3000 people a complete sold out crowd. Well done to Geestar’s promotions for their incredible hospitality.

What’s your latest release?
My latest release is called “ Common Sense “ about a time when I partook in what politicians call illegal lockdown raves. During lockdown I kept the culture alive by performing along side rapper Giggs and Lethal Bizzle in my hometown before police raided the venue. I remember the officer asking me where is your common sense which inspired me to write this song.

What’s your best advice for handling criticism?
Me personally I love criticism as I’m always looking to better myself. So I would say listen to criticism especially from people who don’t know you and just listened to your music or watch your performance.

What surprising lessons have you learned along the way?
That your peers will never help you especially when your now competing against them so keep that circle small and stay positive.
