Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo is letting his music do all the talking. The hip-hop star’s new “Said Sum” single has convinced the Internet tensions are brewing between him and boxing talent Gervonta Davis.

Moneybagg x Said Sum

On Tuesday, Yo came through on his latest audio offering. The record features him spitting hard bars at an unnamed nemesis.

“Ah, I thought a broke n*gga said somethin’ (Ah) Talkin’ sh*t but they still ain’t sayin nothin’ (Ain’t sayin’ nothin’) We gon’ trap this b*tch out ’til the feds come (Run it up, run it up) Huh? (What she say?) Ah, I thought a p*ssy h*e said somethin’ (Ah) How it go when I’m talkin, you listen (Just listen) Cut her off ’cause she spoke on the business (Go)” (“Said Sum”)

High-Key Details

The song’s release immediately sparked a flurry of co-signs. The social media feeds flooded with people blown away by Moneybagg’s bars.

“Ugh ugh ugh Moneybagg ain’t missed since Fed Baby’s”

Wait, There’s More

It didn’t take long before people started connecting the song to boxer Gervonta Davis. Speculation developed about Moneybagg using the record to blast away at the sports star.

Before You Go

The drama reportedly stems from Moneybagg dating Davis’ ex-girlfriend Ari Fletcher. Over the past year, they have publicly clashed against one another.

Following the rapper’s purchase of a Chevrolet Corvette, Davis hopped on social media and tweeted, “Can’t do the corvette.. Middle class.” Moneybagg was quick to respond and requested the fade if need be.  “If you got any kinda smoke wit me deal wit me on some street shit no internet please,” he wrote without tagging Davis. “N*ggas be lame asf mad about b*tches.”  Davis later responded to a fan and said he wasn’t shading anyone and simply talking preference … then bought his own White Corvette weeks later.
